php mysql und geographie

hallo

ich brauche für meine website geographische daten wie städte eines landes, längen und breitengrade etc.
ich habe über google zwar schon ne datenbank gefunden, die wohl gut und recht bekannt, allerdings nur auf deutschland bezogen ist. ich bräuchte jedoch etwas vernünftiges für die weltweite geographie, bin da aber bisher nicht so richtig fündig geworden.
hat jemand da erfahrungen und kann mir etwas gutes empfehlen ?
das wäre super !

Das GISWiki hat eine Liste mit Links zu Geodaten verschiedenster Arten. Hier ist eine weitere Sammlung öffentlicher Datenquellen.

Du wirst darin aber keine komplette und kostenlose/offene und hochqualitative Sammlung von Geodaten finden. Sowas existiert schlichtweg (noch) nicht. Am nächsten kommt wohl OpenStreetMap, aber das ist ebenfalls nicht vollständig.

kostenlos muss es nicht sein, hauptsache gut und so einigermaßen vollständig. kennst du da was ?
ich hab übrigens etwas gefunden, was, glaube ich, ganz gut ist und folgende lizenzvereinbarung hat.
mit lizenzvereinbarungen kenne ich mich leider nicht aus, kannst du mir sagen, was man mit dem"produkt" dann überhaupt machen darf ?
oder anders gefragt

darf man es für eine website verwenden, die zwar kostenfrei nutzbar ist, sich allerdings über werbung finanziert ?

und was bedeutet folgendes genau ?
